Reddit Creepshots: King of Reddit Perverts Identified as Michael Brutsch

Reddit has shut down its popular but infinitely tasteless subreddits, "creepshots" and "creepsquad" after a creepshot of Jezebel journalist Katie J.M. Baker made it to the front page of the "creepsquad" subreddit. The fiasco comes on the heels of a highly-publicized flap between reddit and Gawker, after Gawker journalist Adrian Chen's investigation of an infamous user of the subreddit who went by the handle, Violentacrez. According to the The Guardian, that user "set up hundreds of sub-forums where users post links and images including bestiality, rape fantasy, under-age porn and upskirt photos."

Among the sections that Violentacrez created or moderated were: Chokeabitch, Niggerjailbait, Rapebait, Hitler, Jewmerica, Misogyny, and Incest

Sounds like a nice boy.

On Friday, Violentacrez was outed by Chen as 49 year old Michael Brutsch — a computer programmer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area:

Rape Fantasy-Enthusiast, Michael Brutsch

And even though Brutsch is 49, I say "boy" because no man would be so pathetic as to resort to secretly taking pictures of random women in public, and posting them online under an anonymous username, so that he and his fellow puerile perverts could engage in fantasies about women who would rather star in the sequel to Two Girls, One Cup than touch these peeping Mapplethorpes.

Thankfully, as of Thursday night, these forums are no more. From now on, users who frequented these subreddits will have to get off the old-fashioned way — by getting laid. However, this could be problematic for those users:

Given that the vast majority of reddit users hide behind fake names, it can be tough to ascertain an accurate demographic picture of them. But here are some general figures courtesy of PR Daily:

The median Reddit user is 25 to 34 years old, has some college education, and is in the lowest income bracket ($0-$24,999). (via Wikipedia

84 percent of Reddit members are men. (via BuzzFeed

Reddit users spend an average of 16 minutes, 10 seconds on the site. (via Sortable.com

Pretty shocking, huh? I'd also be interested to know the percentage of creepshot redditors who live with their parents, spend several hours a day playing video games, and engage in other activities completely anathema to satisfying their constantly frustrated schoolboy sexual fantasies such as getting a woman to finally touch their wee-wee.
