Chrissy Teigen to white nationalist Richard Spencer: "You are literally a Nazi."

One of the more magical things about Twitter is that it makes it possible for all types of people to talk to each other from miles apart, both physically and ideologically — like, say, famous model Chrissy Teigen and a hate-mongering "alt-right" white nationalist Richard Spencer.

Spencer, a white supremacist known for quoting Nazi propaganda and for coining the phrase "alt-right" to describe his extremist views, was infamously punched in the face while filming an interview in Washington, D.C., shortly after the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

The punch — and its subsequent meme-ification — seems to have Spencer on the defensive. In a periscope video posted after the clips of the attack went viral, he said, "I'm afraid this is going to become the meme to end all memes. That I'm going to hate watching this," the New York Times reported.

On Monday, he tweeted out a seemingly cryptic reference to the punch heard round the world, saying, "I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become."

That's when Teigen — no stranger to Twitter clapbacks — responded with a succinct counterpoint.

The two went back and forth, but it was clear that Teigen walked away the winner. After all, when you don't have a good comeback to someone calling you a literal Nazi, you're gonna have a hard time coming out on top.
