Christopher Boykin Death: 'Big Black' of 'Rob & Big' dead at 45

Christopher Boykin, best known as "Big Black," died Tuesday morning at the age of 45. A rep for the TV star and bodyguard confirmed to People that he died of a heart attack.

Boykin starred on the MTV series Rob & Big alongside professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek. The series ran from 2006 to 2008. MTV released the following statement on Boykin's death to People:

MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher "Big Black" Boykin's passing. He was a longtime and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time.

Boykin is survived by his 9-year-old daughter, Isis. Friends and fellow MTV stars took to Twitter and Instagram to share their condolences.
