The 2016-2017 television season is nearing its conclusion, meaning the fates of many series are now known. This is always a nerve-wracking time for fans of specific shows that do not appeal to large audiences, because at any moment, they could be coming to an end. In the last few days alone, NBC's Timeless, Fox's Sleepy Hollow and Rosewood and the CW's No Tomorrow and Frequency all were given the ax, while TV Line is reporting ABC's Scandal will conclude after its seventh season.

Of course, news is not always bad this time of year. Fans of bubble series like NBC's The Blacklist and Blindspot, the CW's iZombie and The Originals, Fox's Gotham and ABC's Black-ish all can breathe easy knowing their favorite shows will be returning for yet another season. Comic book fans can take an especially large sigh of relief, as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been renewed for at least a fifth season.

As for other series that may have been on the bubble, or were shoo-ins to return, we have a complete list of all the renewals and cancellations this year.
