Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins on "radicalized Islamic" suspects after London attack: "Kill them all!"

Impact

On Sunday, in the wake of the London attack, Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) called for a Christian holy war against "radicalized" Islam. Higgins, a former police captain, also proposed for all of these "radicalized" Muslims to be killed.

Here's the Facebook post.

"The free world...all of Christendom... is at war with Islamic horror," Higgins wrote. "Not one penny of American treasure should be granted to any nation who harbors these heathen animals."

The post included a photo of a police officer shooting one of the London attackers to the ground.

"Every conceivable measure should be engaged to hunt [Muslims] down," Higgins added. "Hunt them, identity them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all."

According to Gizmodo, a Higgins spokesperson said Higgins was only advocating for the extrajudicial executions of all alleged Muslim terrorists rather than all suspicious Muslims.

“Rep. Higgins is referring to terrorists," the spokesperson said, Gizmodo reported. "He's advocating for hunting down and killing all of the terrorists. This is an idea all of America and Britain should be united behind.”

Several Facebook users were appalled by Higgins' Facebook post.

One Facebook commenter, Krista Bordelon, wrote:

"'Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.'"
Something I've never heard ANY of my Muslim friends or immigrant neighbors say. NEVER. But I did just see it come from the mouth of a Louisiana Congressman with a background in law enforcement."

Higgins assumed office in the U.S. House of Representatives in January. Two weeks ago, Higgins uploaded an Election Day video that featured him wearing a SWAT team vest and firing an assault rifle. He told viewers to vote Republican so they can "send a strong message to socialists."
