A police officer is in critical condition after an incident Wednesday morning at Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan, the Associated Press reported.
The FBI is investigating terrorism as a potential motive for the attack on the officer, according to the AP.
CNN reported on Wednesday that an airport police officer was stabbed in the neck and back, citing information from the Transportation Security Administration. The airport was evacuated and the suspect is reportedly in custody.
An official told CNN that the suspect is believed to have targeted law enforcement.
A post on the airport's Facebook page said an airport police officer had been injured but did not give further details. The airport is closed until further notice, according to CNN.
According to the AP, the FBI is leading the investigation into the incident.
