Arkansas Election Results: LIVE Presidential Polls Show Romney Ahead 27 Percent

According to recent Real Clear Politics polls, former Governor Romney is leading President Obama by 27%.  With the notable exception of native son Bill Clinton, Arkansas has not voted for a Democratic president since the Carter administration. This year it’s safe to assume this state belongs to Mitt Romney.

Arkansas has 6 electoral votes and 4 congressional districts.

There is no Senate or Gubernatorial race in Arkansas this year. The contest to watch is Gene Jeffress (D) versus Thomas Cotton (R), who are vying for the open House seat vacated by the retiring Michael Ross (D). Republicans are eager to take back this seat and polls indicate they will. Cotton lead by 29% in September.
