When Do the Polls Close: Check Out Poll Closing Times Throught the Coutry

Impact

Today is Election Day! After an emotional eternity, the reality of physically getting to the polls and casting a vote before last call is setting in. With some people still catching up on Monday’s Daylight Savings Time switcheroo (fall behind guys) PolicyMic figured that everyone could use a helpful reminder to get to the polls on time.

The first poll closings are in parts of Indiana and Kentucky at 6 p.m. EST, according to the AP. Here are some of the key swing states’ poll closing time (all times Eastern Standard):

OHIO: 7:30 p.m.

And, if you’re wondering what to wear while you wait in line, check out the Washington Post's handy swing state weather live blog from the “Capital Weather Gang.” Or there's always our old friend, The Weather Channel, for local updates. Make sure to bring an umbrella in Florida and Wisconsin, and bundle up for a cold front in New England.

Happy voting!
