America’s opposition to Palestinian statehood at the UN does little to improve U.S. standing in the Middle East.


A recent Arab American Institute poll found that favorable attitudes toward the U.S. in the Arab world have dropped to levels lower than they were during the last year of the Bush administration. Fewer than 10 percent of respondents described themselves as having a favorable view of Obama.
