Robert Pattinson Star Wars Cast: Twilight Star to Play Hand Solo, or Jar Jar Binks

Now that the Twilight saga has finally come to an end, with the release of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part II, star Robert Pattinson is on the lookout for new projects where to continue his big screen popularity.

And one of the moves Pattinson would like to make is to participate in Disney's upcoming Star Wars film — after the studio announced it'd buy Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion. Disney would continue to make the popular sci-fi films, starting with Star Wars Episode 7 to be released in 2015 — as produced by Kathleen Kennedy and written by Academy Award winning screenwriter Michael Arndt (Little Miss SunshineToy Story 3).

According to Buzz:60, Pattinson would be interested in the role of Han Solo (previously played by Harrison Ford). However, the Twilight star is reportedly so pumped about the possibility of working in the project that he'd settle for any role — even Jar Jar Binks, one of the least popular ones among fans of the legendary franchise.

Pattinson, who recently broke up with Twilight co-star and former girlfriend Kristen Stewart, has also been mentioned as a potential replacement for James Bond 007's Daniel Craig (who hinted Skyfall would be his last time playing the legendary British secret service agent).
