Jovan Belcher Kills Girlfriend Kasandra Perkins, Then Shoots Himself

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend this morning, and then drove to Arrowhead Stadium, the team's practice facilities, where he shot himself in front of Chiefs general Scott Pioli and coach Romeo Crennel — reported the AP

Police spokesman Darin Snapp confirmed the information, and the Chiefs released a statement in which they also confirmed the tragedy and said they are "cooperating with authorities in their investigation." The Chiefs were supposed to play the Carolina Panthers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday and according to sources linked to the NFL the game hasn't been cancelled. 

According to Yahoo Sports, lbert Breer of the NFL Network said that the mother of the murdered woman called police and told them that her daughter had been shot. Police arrived at the Chiefs' facility only to find Belcher in the parking lot with a gun to his head. As one officer got out of his car, he heard a gunshot. Belcher was later pronounced dead. 

According to sources, the stadium was cordoned off as players started arriving.
