Police spokesman Darin Snapp confirmed the information, and the Chiefs released a statement in which they also confirmed the tragedy and said they are "cooperating with authorities in their investigation." The Chiefs were supposed to play the Carolina Panthers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday and according to sources linked to the NFL the game hasn't been cancelled.

According to Yahoo Sports, lbert Breer of the NFL Network said that the mother of the murdered woman called police and told them that her daughter had been shot.
