Hillary Clinton Hospitalized Following Concussion

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been admitted to the hospital with a blood clot following a concussion, according to The Associated Press. 

According to CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan a spokesperson for Secretary Clinton confirmed that the former First Lady and 2008 presidential candidate has been taken to New York Presbyterian hospital where she will be under observation for the next 48 hours.

According to USA Today, Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says her doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up exam Sunday. Reines says Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants. Reines added doctors will continue to assess Clinton's condition, "including other issues associated with her concussion."

Clinton suffer a concussion days ago after she reportedly fainted due to dehydration caused by a stomach flu. The incident prevent her from testifying before Congress following the investigation of the September 11 attack on an American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which was initially reported as a spontaneous incident allegedly caused by an anti-Islam YouTube video and was then confirmed as a premeditated terrorist attack.
