President Barack Obama welcomed the Miami Heat — including stars LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade — into the White House, and congratulated the team for winning the 2012 NBA Championship title. "Everybody doing their part, is what finally put the Heat over the top," the president said — according to HuffPo.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra echoed the president's point by saying he hopes the team will serve as an inspiration to the nation of what can be done "when you come together and sacrifice your egos for a greater goal" and "hard-hat work ethic."
Meanwhile, a visibly star struck James presented Obama with an autographed basketball and said to be honored to be in the While House. "We're in the White House right now, which is like, like 'mama I made it,'" James said.
