Super Bowl Commercials 2013: Best and Worst Commercials This Year

Culture

For the past few decades, USA Today has been putting out an Ad Meter that ranks Super Bowl commercials using a compilation of panelist's ratings. This year, Anheuser-Busch occupies the top and bottom spots.

Here are this years top three winners and biggest three losers.

The best:

1) Anheuser-Busch's Clydesdale's commercial

It makes a weird show of loving a horse, but there must be something aesthetically pleasing about watching Clydesdales run because it edged out Tide for the top spot with a 7.76/10 rating.

2) Tide Miracle Stain

A "Joe Montana" stain becomes legend in this ad spot that got a rating of 7.75/10.

3) RAM farmer

At two minutes, this commercial costed RAM about $15.2 million but was beautifully done. It received a score of 7.43/10.

The worst:

1) Go Daddy make out

Yeah, this was gross and garnered a score of 3.30/10.

2) Anheuser-Busch black crown coronation

Apparently big beer companies are getting into the "craft beer" market with new product lines like this one. The commercial got a 3.64/10 from Ad Meter panelists.

3) Anheuser-Busch Beck's saphire

You win some, you lose some, and this was the second of Anheuser-Busch's Super Bowl commercials to tank. It received a score of 3.66/10.
