Congress Must Act On Passing Universal Background Checks

President Obama says that military-style guns shouldn't be in our schools or streets. He urges Congress to pass universal background checks so no one is allowed to sell guns to people who are not authorized to buy them. The president says that our military shouldn't be outgunned by gunmen in the streets. He added that it is also necessary to look at other aspects such as mental health as well as violence in the media. "Changing the status quo is not easy," concluded the president.
