Christopher Dorner Hostage-Taking

Impact

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that alleged cop-killer Christopher Dorner broke into a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains in California days ago, tied up a couple, and left the cabin on Tuesday morning. Dorner was apparently spotted in a stolen white pickup truck by Fish and Wildlife officials, at which point gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the death of one offcier and the wounding of another. Dorner crashed the truck. Dorner then fled into another house, where he was pinned down by authorities.

Subsequently, Dorner and police exchanged hundreds of rounds of fire.

At a press conference held by the Los Angeles Police Department, police said the situation is ongoing and that details are "sketchy" at this point. The LAPD has sent officers to San Bernardino to assist police there if asked.
