SOTU 2013: Deficit reduction

Health care concerns are at the top of his list and making decisions that help the middle class. 

Concept: We can't just cut our way to prosperity. 

Cuts will happen that impact people of all income levels and raise taxes for the most prosperous.

Concept:  Government must keep promises that it already made.

Tax loopholes for the wealthy and prosperous should be closed as a way to reduce the deficit. 

Tax reform can take place that creates jobs and reduces deficit.

Concept: Let's handle our problems in a way that don't stress out Americans.  We can't handle our affairs in a way that leads us from one manufactured crisis to the next. 

The President is effectively grabbing the higher ground through his message.  

Focus:  All efforts should lead towards job creation.

1) Attracting jobs to our shores.

2) Training people.

3) Having it lead to well paying jobs.

Concept:  It is not a bigger government we need, but a smarter government that sets it's priorities for broad based growth.
