Oscar Odds - Locks, Mortal Locks, and Metaphysical Certitudes

As Bob Ryan of ESPN's "Around the Horn" is known to say, "There are locks, there are mortal locks, and then there are metaphysical certitudes." Oscar Night, the most gambled upon evening in the entertainment world, is ripe with overwhelming favorites and massive underdogs. While sports odds are often boiled down to 2:1, or maybe 3:2 at worst, the biggest favorites on Oscar night can run as high as 1:100. That means that a correct bet of $100 will net you a handsome $1 profit.
