Ang Lee Wins Best Director!

The winner of the Academy Award for Best Director goes to:

Way to go Ang Lee! I knew you had it in you! He also beat favorite Steven Spielberg.

Sorry, fangasm here. Lee is one of my favorite directors of all time.

Lee starts by thanking the movie gods, Yan Martel (writer of the novel), the actor who played Pi and the Indian crew, as well as his wife. Nice classy speech!

Still doesn't makeup for losing Best Picture to Crash a few years ago [grumble], but great job to Ang Lee! Your very risky bet in making the movie payed off in spades, both critically and commercially.
