Who Will Win Iowa?

Impact

The first Republican primary of the 2012 elections, the Iowa caucuses, is less than a month away. While not necessarily a key battleground state, the Iowa contest serves both as an important indication of success and a mometum builder for top candiates.

Some have argued that given the nature of the contest, Romney's well-organized campaign makes him the favorite. Others argue that Ron Paul's fervent supporters have built a truly grassroots organization ready to stage a massive upset. Others see Newt Gingrich rising in the polls at the right time, just ahead of January 3rd's vote.
