Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) during an uninspiring speech reminiscent of his failed 2012 presidential campaign. Romney was presented by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who was once considered as a potential running mate to compete against President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. "I'm sorry I won't be your president" and "we need to learn from my mistakes" were a couple of Romney's more memorable lines from his post-2012 defeat speech. He also urged conservatives to "listen to [New Jersey Governor] Chris Christie," the RNC 2013 Keynote Speaker — who, however, was perceived as costing Romney the election when he embraced [literally and figuratively] President Obama in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
