The second to last day of the regular season means that a number of bids will be handed out before the sun goes down. With games starting at 11:30 a.m. eastern tomorrow, let's look through some of the best early games tomorrow:
In the Conference USA finals, Southern Mississippi takes on Memphis in a matchup of the top-two seeds in the conference. Memphis was undefeated in their conference and have compiled a 29-4 record this season, while Southern Mississippi finds themselves right on the cusp of the bubble. While Southern Miss has more to play for, I'd look for Memphis to take this one as they have won both meetings by a combined 29 points.
After upsetting top seeded Stony Brook, Albany faces off against the Vermont Catamounts in Burlington for the America East crown. Vermont should handle this one as they beat Albany in both meetings including a 25-point victory in January at home.
In the semifinals of the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, top-seeded Miami faces off against the Wolfpack of NC State. Though Miami is the higher seed, I'm looking for NC State to take this one as they hae been a sleeper team all year, coupled with the fact that Miami has been reeling as of late. In the one meeting between these two teams, the Hurricanes escaped Raleigh with a 79-78 victory.
More predictions to come tomorrow along with bubble projections, seedings, and a multimedia presentation of some highlights from championship week.
