Girl Meets World: 6 Best TV Show Reunions Of All Time

Culture

If the real world was like the the fictional city of Monstropolis in Monsters, Inc., but instead of being powered by children's screams it was powered by nostalgia, I am confident we would never have to worry about a power outage. Millennials especially seem to love some good old fashioned recollections of times past: We went nuts over the "Child of the 90s" Internet Explorer ad and we swoon over any TV reunion of a show from our childhood.

Get excited, because your inner nostalgic is in for a big treat this week. On Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC, Jonathon Taylor Thomas will guest star on Last Man Standing. At first glance, it doesn't seem like a big deal. But Tim Allen is the star of Last Man Standing, thus JTT and Tim "The Toolman" Taylor will be giving the world a little Home Improvement reunion. Rejoice, fans of manly men from Detroit.

With the Randy and Tim reunion, we wanted to bring up some of the other great reunions of 90s TV shows. Without further adieu, here are six wonderful reunions (that we wish would continue meeting up to bring their shows back on the air):

1. Home Improvement on Last Man Standing

I think most of us can agree that compared to Home ImprovementLast Man Standing is the worst. JTT making an appearance on the show definitely heightens its profile, but Home Improvement was one of the most overlooked shows of the 90s.

Tim "The Toolman" Taylor is one of the great male characters of our time. He made the way for a character like Ron Swanson to take the airways and be a "manly man" who can still be lovable and anything but misogynistic. Plus, who wouldn't want any room that The Toolman juiced up? Even with the obvious flaw that was bound to be there.

2. Seinfeld on Curb Your Enthusiasm

I think Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom ever, let alone of the 90s. Seeing Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer back on screen was a treat. They did a great job of giving realistic character development and what the show actually would be like if it was still on the air.

3. Night Court on 30 Rock

Technically Night Court was more of an 80s show, and technically it was more a comedic device for Tracy and Kenneth on 30 Rock, but the reunion of the the cast for Harry and Christine's wedding still had some great moments. And as Jack Donaghy tells us, Night Court in real life is not fun; nothing like it was on the TV show.

4. Boy Meets World on Girl Meets World

The internet almost exploded when Girl Meets World, the sequel to Boy Meets World, was getting an order for a pilot episode. And for good reason. A show that somehow punched more emotional punch into each 22 minute episode than a good graduation speech, it will be fantastic to see the cast back in action as adults with kids of their own.

5. Saved By The Bell

Sadly, these last two weren't full-on reunions and didn't take place in the way the aforementioned reunions did on TV, but either way, the Saved By The Bell reunions on Fallon were fantastic, even if the JC Penny-esque pictures in People were weird:

6. Full House

At least the Full House photographer had the decency to put an Instagram-like filter on this photo. The only two missing are the twins! This reunion is fantastic considering where Danny Tanner, err Bob Saget, has taken his career since (his joke in The Aristocrats is phenomenally foul).

What reunions did we miss? Which ones would you like to see? You might be able to make it happen: Veronica Mars proved that anything is possible
