Jodi Arias Trial LIVE Stream: Defense Seeks Mistrial Over Juan Martinez Conduct

Impact

The epic murder trial of Jodi Arias resumes in Phoenix on Tuesday as the defense has accused misconduct on the part of prosecutor Juan Martinez, and is seeking a mistrial. Last week judge Sherry Stephens interviewed a television legal analyst to testify to investigate the defense's allegation that Martinez had violated decorum by posing for photographs with trial watchers and signing autographs. Stephens also spoke to the jurors individually in an effort to ascertain if they had witnessed any untoward behavior.

Arias is on trial for the June 2008 killing of her boyfriend Travis Alexander. Arias admits to killing Alexander, but claims it was in self-defense after he allegedly went into a rage after Arias dropped his camera. The defense is arguing that Arias was physically and emotionally abused by Alexander.
