Credible news sources have begun to report that tonight's violence in and around Cambridge and Watertown, Massachusetts, in which an MIT police officer was killed and a transit officer badly wounded, is actually the fallout of an ongoing search for the Boston marathon bombing suspects, who appear to have been cornered.
One suspect is reportedly in custody, and may have perished after being shot by law enforcement officers.
A second suspect is at large and is assumed to be armed and extremely dangerous. Police have instructed Watertown residents, where the search is being conducted, to remain indoors and avoid opening their homes to anyone but a uniformed police officer.
