National Hero Knew Something Was Wrong When "A White Girl Ran Into A Black Man's Arms"

Culture

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight tragically went missing nearly a decade ago without any trace. They were kept captive in a house all this time but their ordeal is finally over. The women were discovered after one of the women escaped the home and ran towards one of the neighbours on their street. That's when she found Charles Ramsey, a Cleveland resident. He's the one who called 9-11 and helped the women make their escape. Ramsey is not only held up as a hero in this case, he's also proved himself to be quite the comic. Check it out.

Highlights

0:12 Ramsey beings the interview in full-force with important hard-hitting details: "I heard screaming. I'm eating my McDonalds."

1:14 Ramsey says how shocked he is that a man who seemed so normal could be abusing women against their will in his house: "My neighbour. He's got some big testicles to pull this off bro. We see this dude everyday. [..] I barbecue with this dude. We eat ribs and what not. We listen to salsa music."

2:28: The reporter asks what the women's reaction was when Ramsey them. Ramsey responds: "I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms [...] Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway."

2:43 The reporter gets awkward.

2:45 Ramsey goes on adds: "Either she's homeless or she got problems. That's the only reason she would run to a Black man."

Drops mic. Well, symbolically at least.

Here's the 9-11 call:

So far, three brothers living in the house have been arrested. The women healthy and have been taken to hospital to reunite with their loved ones.
