WATCH: Michele Bachmann Clears Hillary Clinton, Blames God for Benghazi

Impact

While Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives work to figure out the best way to pin former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton with responsibility for the terrorist attack in Benghazi that left an American ambassador dead, one of their number has uncovered the real culprit: the Almighty God. Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), a member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and former dual citizen of both gay-friendly Switzerland and gay-friendly Minnesota, claimed that the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States were the result of God's judgment, as was the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

See the video below:

"Our nation has seen judgment not once but twice on September 11 and that's why we're going to have a '9/11 Pray' on that day," said Bachmann, implicating that Libyan terrorists and Osama bin Laden are servants of God's judgment.

The former Republican presidential candidate made her comments at a prayer event in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall. After getting booted from the 2012 GOP primaries, narrowly winning reelection to Congress, and waking up to discover that she lives in a state where homosexuals can get married, Congresswoman Bachmann has decided that the only way to solve this country's ills is to pray. Perhaps she would get better results if she actually worked to draft meaningful legislation that could solve our problems rather than spending her time seizing every opportunity to grandstand for her evangelical base.

God could not be reached for comment on this story. However, reports have surfaced that He has apparently commanded mankind not to kill each other.
