Apple Tax Testimony: Rand Paul Compares Complex Apple Tax System To Individual Deduction and Call Whole Hearing a "Witch Hunt"

Senator Rand Paul just basically called the whole hearing useless and compared Apple’s complex tax strategy that involved multiple companies and multiple tax regulations to the mortgage deduction.

He did not ask a question to the experts, choosing to use his time to pontificate.

However Professor Shay made a point has been made multiple times that this hearing is merely to illustrated how the current system works in reality and how regulations interact with businesses.

Chairman Carl Levin agreed and Senator McCain said that in his 25-year history of working with Levin he had never seen him engaged in a “witch hunt” as Senator Paul has kept saying despite no evidence.
