Oklahoma Tornado Tracker: Severe Weather in Moore Continues Today

Impact

The National Weather office in Norman, Oklahoma (just south of Moore) has issued a tornado watch (less serious than a tornado warning) for counties in north Texas and along the Oklahoma border:

It said that "Strong to possibly severe storms will impact the Newcastle and Moore areas between noon and 1pm" today, potentially hampering the efforts of search and rescue teams. Tornadoes, however, are not expected in central Oklahoma:

The Weather Underground reports that "there is a MDT risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of central and East Texas...southeast OK...northwest la...and western Arkansas [and] a slight risk of severe thunderstorms from the Southern Plains into the middle MS valley and Great Lakes states."
