Los Angeles Mayoral Election Results: Greuel Wins Mail-In Votes But Garcetti Ahead in Exit Polls

The results have begun to drift in as the mail-in ballots have been counted. Wendy Greuel is ahead of Eric Garcetti by less then two percentage points, 50.90% to 49.09%.

However an exit poll by Loyola Marymount University may put a damper on an celebration in the Greuel campaign headquarters. It found that Garcetti tied or beat Greuel in nearly all catagories such as women, Latinos, and Whites; with Greuel only winning African Americans. That is very bad news for her chances of winning, with LMU going as far as to call the race 54% to 46% for Garcetti.
