Zach Sobiech Song a Moving Inspiration For All

If you are a denizen of the internet, chances are that you've stumbled across the "Swan Song" of Zach Sobiech on the Internet, if you haven't, watch below.

This catchy, sweet song, appropriately named "Clouds" has a very depressing story behind it. At age fourteen, Minnesota native, Zach Sobiech, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. A little more than a year ago, on May 3, 2012, 17 year old Zach Sobiech was given less than a year to live. Given his condition and his love of music, Zach decided to say goodbye to his family and friends the only way he knew how, by writing a song.

After the song started going viral, Rainn Wilson and Soul Pancake heard about Zach's story and assembled a group of celebrities to make the most touching lip-sync video ever created, featuring Bryan Cranston, Sarah Silverman, Colbie Caillat, Chris Pratt, Ana Faris and many others. If this doesn't put a smile on your face, literally nothing will.

In Zach's honor, the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund was created to help other children around the world with Zach's ailment, receive the treatment that they desperately need.

Zach Sobiech may not have lived a very long time, he didn't have a "normal childhood," but he did the best that he could do, before his passing he was able to attend his senior prom and celebrate his 18th birthday. His time on Earth was notable due to his compassion towards others, his message, and the way that his story has inspired so many others around the world. On May 20 the world became a little less bright, a very brave and inspiring millennial has died well before his time.

In a statement broadcast by The Today Show the Sobiech family stated, "It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Zachary David Sobiech. Our family has been blessed not only by his amazing presence in our lives, but also by the love and support of our family and friends and by so many people in the community. In particular we'd like to thank those people who listened with their hearts and helped Zach bring his message and his music to the world."
