Obama Heckled: Meet the Woman Who Interrupted Obama Thrice

Medea Benjamin from Code Pink was the heckler at President Obama's National Defense University speech on counterterrorism according to reporters at the event.

She is an American political activist who cofounded Code Pink, a left-wing NGO self-described as a "grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end U.S. funded wars and occupations, to challenge militarism globally, and to redirect our resources into health care, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities".

Benjamin has been a vocal opponent of President Obama's drone program. She organized the first-ever Drone Summit in Washington on April 28, 2012 to bring attention to the program. She also interrupted a speech by President Obama's counterterrorism advisor John Brennan during his speech to the Woodrow Wilson Center two days later.

"Shame on you," she screamed at Brennan before being dragged away by security.
