Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike wins Best Play at the 67th annual Tony Awards. The show stars Sigourney Weaver and David Hyde Pierce in a story about an eccentric family gathering in the countryside when one of their movie star siblings comes into town with her new boyfriend. Durang also penned Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You and  Beyond Therapy. Durang's play beat out the following nominees:
