Impact

Unofficial reports from Iran suggest that there will be a second-round runoff election in one week between Hassan Rowhani, the reformist cleric, and Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, the conservative mayor of Tehran.

From the New York Times: The blogger Arash Karami reported that the newspaper Kayhan, whose editor is personally appointed by Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, claimed that turnout had reached 75 percent.
