'The Voice' Seasons Finale: Will Daniele Bradbery Win It All?

Culture

The season finale of NBC's hit series The Voice will air Tuesday night at 8 pm. The three remaining contestants — Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery, and the Swon Brothers — will take the stage to win the judges over with a final performance, but who will win?

The Swon Brothers, Colton, 24, and Zach, 28, of country-star, Blake Shelton's team are a country-singing duo from Muskogee, Oklahoma. This season, they've showcased their vocals with renditions of Tom Petty's "American Girl" and "I Won't Back Down," as long as fan-favorites, "Wagon Wheel," "Danny's Song" and "Drift Away."

Sixteen-year-old Texas native, Danielle Bradbery, appears to be the fan-favorite. Most of her performances have been mid-tempo, country pop selections through which she has been able to showcase her powerful vocals. She is the second of Shelton's two picks competing in the finale. Called a young prodigy by many viewers, Bradbery has won the hearts of fans with her performances of Tam Tillis' "Maybe It Was Memphis," Carrie Underwood's, "Wasted" and Jo Dee Messina's, "Heads Carolina, Tails California."

Michelle Chamuel, the Massachusetts native, is Usher's sole team member in the finale. She has delivered her own impressive renditions of chart-topping pop songs, including "Grenade," "Titanium," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Call Your Girlfriend," and "Just Give Me a Reason," among others. Before joining the competition, Chamuel was the lead vocalist for a Michigan-based band "Ella Riot."

Chamuel's best bet to win the finale will be if the Swon Brothers and Bradbery split the country vote. Given that both groups have stuck to their country roots, Chamuel could come away with the vote of the entire pop-music constituency. In addition, unlike Bradbery and the Swon brothers who remain more or less consistent in their vocal range and style, Chamuel has shown tremendous versatility, performing a wide array of chart-topping songs while endowing them with her own unique flavor.

The Swon Brothers will have to pull off something drastic and show some versatility in order to win the competition. The brothers seem to be well aware of the challenge; they told home-town radio station 2News “you haven’t seen this side of us yet … hopefully America will get behind it.” The duo's country-folk style and persona slightly resembles last season's American Idol winner Phillip Phillips. The competition is not over yet. Clearly, they have something that America likes and might want to see more of.

But Danielle Bradbery seems to be the favored contestant going into the finale. If Shelton is correct, she will win. "From Team Blake, Danielle Bradbery has been a front-runner and The Swon Brothers have had their weeks too, but Danielle has probably been the most consistent in leading iTunes," Shelton said, according to Fashion & Style.  After her rendition of Tim McGraw's "Please Remember Me," last week, Shelton told Bradbery “you don’t have any weaknesses in your singing." Sasha Allen, who was eliminated from the competition in the semi-final round, gave Bradbery her bet, as well. Bradbery's experience and jaw-dropping voice give no indication of her young age. America seems to think that this young prodigy has what it takes to make it big.

In addition to the finalists' performances, prominent artists including Christina Aguilera, Pitbul, Bruno Mars, Nelly, Florida Georgia Line and Cher are all scheduled to grace the stage on Tuesday night while America awaits the final decision. So cast your vote and grab a seat, because this is a finale you don't want to miss.
