"Blurred Lines" Meets "The Cosby Show," and the Result is As Awesome As You'd Expect

Culture

Juxtapositions of modern media and 90s culture are almost always guaranteed to be great. This one is no exception.

Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" may be the smash hit of the summer, following that formula of a loose hook, a high-profile guest verse and, of course, Pharrell production. Naturally it'll be subjected to countless remixes and mashups, and none will be better than this splice with the opening titles of The Cosby Show.

#Cosby is just as prevalent as #Thicke, and the overt sexuality of the lyrics makes for fantastic awkwardness with Cliff and Clair Huxtable. It's a shame the mashup only runs for about a minute, because this is comedic gold.

One can only wonder which episode would follow after this intro. Thicke's competition for biggest song of the summer, a little Daft Punk number you've had stuck in your head for two months, recently got a strange TV mashup of its own.
