'Freaks and Geeks' Would Have Been a 2013 Phenomenon

As I sat through This is the End last weekend for exactly one hour and 47 minutes I will never get back, two small tweaks I would make to the film came to mind. The first, everyone should have died EXCEPT Michael Cera. Now that would be a funny movie.  Barring that, scrap the whole "apocalypse" idea and have a Freaks and Geeks reunion instead (they already had Franco, Rogen, and Segel, how hard could getting the rest be?). Here are some reasons why:

1. Judd Apatow

Because compared to Judd Apatow’s latest television dramedy, Freaks and Geeks is light and cheerful. Besides, we liked Hannah's mom better when she was Mrs. Weir.

2. Paul Feig

Because Bridesmaids, just because. 

3. Jason Segel

Because Nick knows Kermit the Frog, and, "Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem" is a better band name than, "Creation."

4. Linda Cardellini

Because Lindsay Weir deserves better than Don Draper.

5. Seth Rogen

Because your tuba is so big and sexy.

6. Samm Levine

Because what television needs is more ventriloquists. 

7. Martin Starr

Because this kid is literally more happy than you'll ever be.

8. Shia LaBeouf

Because this was definitely the peak of his career.

9. James Franco

Because, let’s be real, you’d watch anything that kept him too busy to make an Oz prequel sequel … presequel? 

10. John Francis Daley

Because dat face.
