Tech blog CNet has released these images of possible leaked packaging for the newest gadget. The new phone is expected to be similar in shape and size to Apple's previous model, with several functional updates and improvements. It will likely come in a new range of metallic colors.
The iPhone 5S is expected to look nearly identical to the iPhone 5. It will likely have a pill-shaped dual-LED flash, rather than a circular version from previous models. The iPhone 5S will feature the same 4-inch Retina display. Rumors point to a a new camera system for slow-motion video photography, and a fingerprint sensor presumably to let users authenticate ownership and user passwords by simply holding their thumbs on the iPhone’s signature home button.
Apple's newest phone is rumored to cost around $199 on-contract. It's potential "lite" sister product, the iPhone 5c, may cost an estimated $99 on-contract by comparison.
