After his awful showing on Lawrence O'Donnell's The Last Word on Monday and a clearly spiraling campaign which has shown his numbers spiral into single digits just marginally larger than his own, you'd think things couldn't get any worse for former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner.
Well, Leathers — after moving on to shoot a Weiner-themed porn movie for Vivid Entertainment and pose for the New York Post, among other outlets — isn't quite done savaging his campaign yet after her not-so-startling revelations of an illicit sexting relationship with the politician began the onslaught. According to Brawl For the Hall, Leathers made an impromptu protest stop outside of Weiner's campaign HQ, disrupting a planned speech by the erstwhile candidate. As Nancy Dillon reported:
Sydney Leathers showed up at Weiner’s campaign headquarters about an hour before he was set to arrive and was “swarmed” by campaign workers doing “damage control,” she told the Daily News.
She was carrying a sign that read “Don’t Vote Weiner, Download Weinerizer,” a reference to her parody song now on iTunes.
"We just came to stand in front and wait, and his campaign people just started to multiply and lurk,” she told the News Tuesday afternoon by cell phone. “We’re like two blocks away now, and one of them is still with us."
Leathers subsequently took to Twitter, and sweet Jesus:
It doesn't take a Nostradamus to predict this is the end of Weiner's public career.
