Washington Shooting Suspect Described By Witnesses
It has been reported that at least four people have been killed and eight wounded at the Washington, D.C., Navy Yard by a gunman who remains on the loose at the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters at building 197. Multiple witnesses told authorities and media that the suspect is a bald black male about six-feet tall, who was armed with at least a rifle. However, CNN is reporting that the suspect is of "medium complexion."
Other witnesses said the gunman is dressed in fatigues, while others said he was dressed in all black.
Two of the wounded have been identified as police officers.
The shooting started at approximately 8:20 am eastern time. The facility is on lockdown, as are six area schools.
