Julia Louis-Dreyfus Gives Emmys Acceptance Speech in Character

Julia Louis-Dreyfus wins the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and gave the speech fully in character as Selina Meyer. Tony Hale even joined her on stage for her speech, clutching her purse just like Gary would. Meanwhile Anna Chlumsky texted in the audience. And it was all amazing.

The other nominees in the category were:

Laura Dern, “Enlightened”
Lena Dunham, “Girls”
Edie Falco, “Nurse Jackie”
Amy Poehler, “Parks and Recreation”
Tina Fey, “30 Rock”

Two wins for Veep. Looking good!
