Real Life Snake On a Plane? Samuel L. Jackson Responds
I'm indifferent about snakes ... it's the idea of being strangled, bitten, or poisoned that troubles me. I can only imagine the terror when a Qantas airline plan staff found an 8-inch Mandarin Rat snake on a flight bound for Tokyo, Japan.
The plane was still on the airport tarmac in Australia and passengers were escorted off the plane, given hotel rooms overnight, and left Sydney on a replacement plane the next morning.
The snake was taken by quarantine officials.
"The Department of Agriculture is looking into how the snake came to be on the plane, but isn't able to speculate at this time," it said in a statement.
