This Striking Footage Of the U.S. Capitol Shooting Will Send Chills Down Your Spine
A raw video has just been released by Alhurra TV depicting the disturbing incident that took place outside the State Capitol today. After a woman, now identified as Miriam Carey from Stamford, Connecticut, drove her car into one of the gates of the White House, police started firing shots, and a dramatic car chase ensued.
The mother, who was unarmed, was confirmed dead shortly. Astoundingly, her 1-year-old child who was sitting in the back seat during the entire incident, survived. Many sources have now confirmed that all shots were fired by police and the mother was unarmed. Two police officers have been injured.
Although the child miraculously survived with no injuries, photos of her being carried away from the scene crying are absolutely heart-wrenching.
After seeing the footage, many people are questioning the work of police officers. Why did they start shooting so quickly when a 1-year-old was involved? Could they have acted differently? Did they react out of panic?
Others congratulated and praised the effective work of the police force, despite most of them facing delays when it comes to their salaries because of the government shutdown.
