Website Puts Into Words Exactly How You Feel About Congress

Furloughed and non-furloughed alike have gotten pretty fucking fed up with the shit show that is Congress right now — reason No. 10,043 why FuckYouCongress is absolutely genius.

Baratunde Thurston and Brian Janosch of CultivatedWit created the site to tell Congress what we are all thinking — and Congress shouldn't be surprised given that their approval rating is at an all-time low of 5% — and to give frustrated Americans an outlet.

At the top of the site is fun (fun as in, they'll make you angry) facts, calling out members of Congress who have said and done the most ridiculous things when it comes to the shutdown. Like Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who called the shut down "not a big deal." He is even comparatively sane when put up against Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) who related his vote on the shutdown to Todd Beamer's exclamation of "Let's roll!" as a foiled a terrorist attack on 9/11.

Yeah, fuck you guys.

And, just in case these little factoids get you all riled up (and they should!), you can email your congressman right from the site.

The site might be pretty cathartic, but the creators remind us that "frustration never accomplishes much on its own," and in order to make a real difference you should "educate yourself, make sure you vote, and maybe even lend a hand to these organizations trying to make a difference."

Fuck yeah.
