Give them a dose of reality

Inform young Americans how much a broken ankle costs to fix; how much a appendectomy bill will set them back; a fractured wrists or treatment for meningitis infection since many college students have been infected will cost.  Young adults don't  believe it will ever happen to them, however, inform them of the reality of the possiblity of what it will cost them for a slip and fall or an unpreventable illness. Educate them as to how unpaid medical bills ruin their credit ratings and relate bad credit ratings to future automobile purchases or even rent.  Additionally, inform them about untreated symptoms, due for the lack of medical insurance preventing them from seeing a doctor, can lead to serious, dehabilitating injuries or illnesses, then they're out of work AND sick. Shock them with a reality check.
