Super Bowl Halftime Show Performers 2014: Who is Playing the Halftime Show?

Culture

For some viewers, the Super Bowl halftime show is more important than the game itself. And that's not even an exaggeration. Madonna's 2012 halftime performance was the most-watched portion of the broadcast, and Beyonce's show last year was one of the most-watched parts of the event. This year, Bruno Mars is teaming up with the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the halftime show, which sounds ... interesting.

Mars was selected a while back to sing at the annual event, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that he announced he was inviting RHCP to join him on stage. The two acts have somewhat dissimilar styles, but they both know how to get a crowd going, RHCP especially, and you can expect they'll do something special. Although, despite a rumor that started circulating, they will definitely not be covering Led Zeppelin.

In honor of the impending collaboration, the Timeflies guys put together their own Mars/RHCP mash-up. Even though it's not likely to be what we hear on Sunday, it's pretty cool nonetheless.
