Olympics Highlights: Who Won the Snowboarding, Luge, and Figure Skating Medals

We are already at Day 6 of the 2014 Sochi Olympics, and the competitions are well underway. Let's take a look at few of the favorite events so far: snowboarding, luge and free skating.

Here is the current medal count for snowboarding:

The U.S. is currently leading with two golds for men's and women's slopestyle (a debut style at this year's Olympics). Switzerland has the gold for men's halfpipe. Upcoming events include women's halfpipe, and the snowboard cross (SBX), parallel giant slalom (PGS) and parallel slalom (PSL) competitions for both men and women.

Here is the current medal count for luge:

Germany is leading the pack with the gold for men's singles, and both gold and silver for women's singles. Russia and Italy have medaled at men's singles, while the U.S. has one bronze for women's singles. The only competitions left are the doubles and the team relay events.

Here is the current medal count for figure skating:

The only medaled competition so far is Team Ice Dance Free Dance. Russia is leading the pack so far with the gold, followed by Canada and the U.S. Upcoming competitions include Pairs Free Skate, Men Free Skating, Ice Dance Free Dance and Ladies Free Skating. So stay tuned!
