Seattle Shooting in Cafe Racer LIVE: 4 Dead and Gunman Kills Himself

Impact

Seattle police are looking for a gunman who shot dead four people and wounded one other in a shooting rampage in the northern downtown area of the city.

The shootings occurred in two separate locations; the first in a cafe in North Seattle near Cowen Park, the second an hour later at the site of a carjacking near eighth avenue and Seneca street. While it is possible that these are two separate incidents, the police are proceeding with the possibility that the shooter could be one man.

Two men died at the scene in the café while a woman died from injuries several hours later; the fourth death occurred at the carjacking.

While a motive is still unknown, Seattle police are describing the suspect as a white man, in his 30s or 40s, 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a thin build, curly light brown hair, and wearing a white and brown plaid shirt and dark pants.

The area around the shootings has been sealed off and armed officers are going door to door within a 10-block radius.
