The New Krispy Kreme 'Ghostbusters' Doughnuts Are Making Us Hungry Already

Because donuts and ghosts somehow go hand in hand, Krispy Kreme and Sony Pictures are collaborating on two kinds of marshmallow-filled doughnuts to celebrate the Blu-ray release of the 30th-anniversary edition of Ghostbusters.

"We are truly excited to collaborate with Sony Pictures in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic Ghostbusters brand,” said Dwayne Chambers, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing and innovations officer, in a press release. “And we are delighted to bring our fans two delicious limited edition treats that are as unique, creative and joyful as this beloved film franchise.”

The Ghostbusters and Stay Puft Marshmallow Doughnuts, pictured above, will be available from Sept. 29 through Halloween at Krispy Kreme locations in the U.S. and Canada.

While it's probably not smart to associate your ridiculously sugary doughnuts with ghostly ectoplasm, I'm sure this is a partnership the Ghostbuster franchise's most memorable character can get behind:
