David Miliband is the newly appointed President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee. As a Member of the British Parliament, Mr. Miliband joined Tony Blair’s government in 2002 as Minister for Schools, followed by Secretary of State for the Environment and most notably, Secretary of State of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (Foreign Minister) for the United Kingdom from 2007 to 2010. After graduating with first class honors in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Mr. Miliband completed a master's degree in political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Kennedy Scholar.
